The YJS Manager reports directly to a YJS Management Board which is chaired by the Chief Executive of the County Council, John Marsden. The Board meets quarterly to receive reports on finance, progression of performance against national targets and objectives, and to inform the strategic direction of the team. Membership currently includes:

• Chief Probation Officer

• Assistant Chief Constable

• Assistant Director (Children’s Social Care)

• Principal Officer (Integrated Youth Services)

• Head Teacher of Virtual School (Looked After Children & Young Offenders)

• Learning & Skills Council

• Lead Member for Children & Young People’s Services

• Legal Advisor: Youth Magistrates Court

• Primary Care Trust representatives
